Digital content includes, words, photographs, diagrams, icons, graphs and other digital assets that enrich your presence online. whilst it may sound easy it is often the area where clients struggle. At the Digital Design studio we are able to source high quality, professional photographs and video snippets, graphics and all the assets you need for your website or web shop that are optimized for web use. If you images are too large your website will go slow, risking your search engine presence or mobile phone use by clients. We remove this problem for you.
In addition, the copy you use on your website i.e. the writing, is critical to ensure your website is ranked well in search engines. Summarizing your offering to market as an elevator-pitch requires skill and practice and this is something we can also offer you as a service.
The other thing to consider is who is going to add all the products to your web shop, if you require one. We have clients with hundreds of products and this takes time to upload and configure, so factor this into the work required to launch.

At the Digital Design Studio we offer our clients a Managed Digital Service so that their websites are kept up to date, plug-ins are updated to the latest versions, databases are maintained and everything runs perfectly.
Digital web software often requires updates as enhancements are added and security updates are required periodically. If you do not feel confident to do this yourself, our team will do this for you. For an annual free we will ensure that your website is always maintained correctly, checked monthly and your digital web presence remains issue free, providing you with complete peace of mind.
If on the other hand you choose to manage things yourself and there is a future technical issue, we will investigate and quote you on the time and effort required to fix the issue as a one-off cost. This is offered on a best-endeavours basis dependent on Digital Studio bookings and team availability.

I have been producing video infomercials for the last 20 years. Video really can bring a website alive. It can help sell your products, capture the attention of browsers, drive a call to action and convert casual visitors to buyers. More than anything, video makes your online brand look slick and professional.
Infomercials are typically up to 60 seconds in length and can be used on your website and in Instagram reels or in Facebook. What is included in the standard Digital Design Studio web package
We treat every client and requirement as unique. We will provide you with a consulting session so we can gather the necessary information and requirements from you. We will then design and build your new website on your host, add the logo and images and text and ensure that it is all working correctly on both mobile and desktop so that you are ready to launch. We will then show you how to mange your site. If you do not yet have a domain name we suggest a Digital Strategy consultation session to begin with.
Are there any additional fees to consider?
The host costs and the domain costs are annual fees charged by the host provider. For illustration you should budget for around £20 for domain names annually and £60 – £120 for hosting fees annually. If you would like us to support your site throughout the year and apply updates and make changes for you then we can discuss a managed service for you
Can I manage my own content?
Oh yes absolutely. Each website comes with its own content management console where you can make changes to your words, pictures and other content. Or you can ask us to manage your site for you via our Managed Service if you are busy running your business.
Do you provide ongoing site support?
Yes we do. We will keep your site up to date and make minor updates and changes as required.
Can I add a web shop later?
Yes absolutely. We can add an online web shop facility to a standard website for an additional fee at any time you are ready.
Do you assist with social media?
We offer a Digital Strategy service to assist you build your social media channel strategy effectively to drive traffic and people to your online business.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes we do. If we do not delivery your website as requested during the scope consultation then we will give you a full refund, no questioned asked.
Will my website look good on a mobile phone?
Absolutely. All the sites we build are fully responsive and mobile friendly for a vast array of screen sizes. This is essential as Google now requires all listed sites to be mobile-friendly. We test each site on a cell phone prior to completion.
Can I manage my own web shop products?
Yes you can. Once your site is complete we will show you how to easily populate your online shop with products or services and how to change prices and photos and create offers etc. For an additional fee we via our Digital Content service, we can populate your shop for you to get you going as long as you have images of your products.
Do you manage the hosting?
We will ask you to set up a UK host account for free and guide you how this is easily achieved. Your site will be hosted under your own account name so that you retain full control of your website and domains at all times now and in the future. The professional hosts we recommend we have been using since 2007.
Do you include a website email address?
Yes each website comes with its own unique email address that matches your domain name (e.g. info@yourdomain.co.uk). If you already use another email address we can set an auto-forwarder so that any website emails go straight to your personal email. If you wish to use a Microsoft 365 Outlook email service, we can configure Microsoft 365 for your new domain for your email as an additional step.
Can my shop offer multiple payment options?
Yes absolutely. For the simplest service we would recommend you set up a PayPal account to receive funds but the e-commerce services can cater for a multitude of payment options and even multi currency if required (some are free and some incur fees).
Can you write content for me?
A lot of site owners request this and your text needs to be Google and social media friendly so we are very happy to advise you or we can create the text for you through our Digital Content Service. However due to time constraints you must be available to check the content at the time we build your site and we can make changes at that stage. We can also provide professional royalty free photos for your site to give it that special edge through our Digital Content Service.
Can you produce infomercial videos for my website
Yes absolutely. There is an example on this site and they are charged by the length of time. Most infomercials run to either 30 seconds or 60 seconds and we use professional clips, editing techniques and can add a music sound track as required. The video is then added to your website or added to your YouTube channel (we can set one up for you via our Digital Strategy service) and embedded in your site. You can then also use your video as a reel on Instagram etc.
Can I use multiple domain names?
Yes you can. You primary domain name (typically .co.uk or.com as long as it is available) will be used to house your website but you can have multiple domain names pointing at your website for marketing purposes. This is also very sensible to protect your brand. Domain names are not expensive to purchase on a per annum basis.
How do I pay for the website?
Once we have had a free consultation session either face to face, at your premises or on the phone you can then pay using via bank transfer. During the consultation we will agree the scheduled start date with you so that you know exactly when your site will be ready. Most sites are ready within 5 business days but this can be impacted by your availability during the build period, or lack thereof.
